Initial Consultation

An
initial consultation is a helpful way to begin working
with the IAC Center. In a typical consult you will meet
for one hour with a counselor to help you clarify your
concerns and set up a plan to address your needs. In
addition, referrals to related sources may be made.
People
benefiting from this type of consultation include:
- Infertility
patients or couples.
- Couples
or individuals considering their family-building options
- Adoptive
parents
- Birth
parents
- Adopted
individuals
- Other
individuals who would appreciate a therapist sensitive
to these issues.
Once
a consultation is complete, both the counselor and the
client will determine the appropriate next step. |
